Required

1. Boards will mount in commonly available electrical boxes. This give us cheap boxes that are easily available and easy to work with.
2. Hardware layer for communications protocol must be robust and forgiving.

Nice to Have

1. Parts and accessories should be easily available
2. Boards should be manufacturable
