A request was made for a shelf in the upstairs office. Our artist at the time decided the thick walls provided ample opportunity to do more than a board stuck on the wall. The end result was a shelf cut into the wall. The girl offering up the shelf for use, the fruit laden branches and plant shelves add to the scene. The 3-D plant shelves were formed using chicken wire and the rest is cob. These shelves are another example of how strong cob is.
Another fun fact, when sitting the middle of the room the skyline in the wall painting matches the skyline out the window.
