The roots framing the lower windows in the cob apartment were the first cob artwork created on Campus. The creation reminded Paul of a plaque that once hung on his kitchen wall. “There are only two lasting things we can give our kids, roots and wings.” The artist had a thing for wings and each of the upstairs apartment windows got their own set.

When you visit the cob apartment take notice of the impact the wings have as one set enters the room and the other set exits.
