The original plan was that this would be the “boring bathroom” due to the store-bought fixtures. Thanks to Quinn’s artistic touches it turned out to be anything but boring.
It started with a wave surrounding the mirror...
then evolved into an undersea experience in the shower...
Contrary to most of the applied paints or pigments those applied in the shower are not allowing the walls to breathe. The North and South 2x4 walls in the shower don’t contain any straw that needs to breathe, however the East wall of the shower is created by bales. The polymer paint that was applied in the shower was chosen expressly to inhibit the absorption of water and water vapor (both of which are common in showers).
