After completion of the first intersecting catenary vault was successful, sights were set on a larger version.![]() Here the larger arch takes form. Plywood pieces laid and cut to specific dimensions wait to be assembled and tipped vertically. ![]() Once outside there was enough room to stand the pieces and begin attaching them to one another with lengths of 2x4. A place to insert hydraulic jacks on wheels was designed into this form. The jacks will allow the form to be raised during the packing of snow and lowered when the form is ready to be moved. Orange lines indicate where the jacks will be located. ![]() A thinner, smoother sheet of wood is attached to make it easier for snow to slide across the face of the form. ![]() The front face of form.
