I'm going to borrow Paul's idea to give you a snapshot of what the month of August has brought (so far).  Over the past couple of weeks I have accumulated a lot of photos - some of which you will see here. A few others will be posted in the ARC Journal.

Solar Panel Caps - Ben and Jay are working diligently on installing solar panel caps on the Mani Building.

Lynn's Birthday - Lynn is our only August birthday so we chose to celebrate on August 13, her big day.  Dug and Jim took charge of the grill (the steaks were fabulous as always!), Bob picked up a cake (mmmm, ice cream!), and Bob led us in song.

Mushroom Workshop - Sarah Foltz and Nick Jordan conducted a mushroom workshop HUG.  The workshop included a power point presentation on mushroom identification, live specimens, a foraging expedition, hands-on identification, cooking and taste testing.

Walkabout: Employees gathered in Old Main on August 5 for another traveling meeting or "walkabout."  We spent a good 2 hours learning what everyone else is doing on campus.

HDT Eco Camp:  Session I for 3rd-5th graders was held August 4-8, Session II for 6th-8th graders was August 11-15.  Campers played eco games, visited the recycling center, conducted experiments (solar hot dog cooker) and created eco-friendly crafts.
