If you've driven by the HUG campus lately, you have probably noticed the wind turbine laying on the ground... The main shaft on the turbine needed some repairs and now it's back, good as new!

 Chris Walgren and  Mark Heinecke from WERC were here last week putting the wind turbine back together.

Their job wasn't easy...after getting the shaft back in place, they needed to reattach the vane to the shaft.

When the wind turbine was originally installed, connecting the springs between  the vane and the shaft wasn't as tough, because the vane was put together in three pieces... 

Chris and Mark got the job done, the HUG vane is back in place, attached to newly repaired shaft.

Watch for the wind turbine to be set back UP later this week!
