His background is vast!! Jim has tried many jobs beginning with milking cows when he was 12 years old. He has worked at grocery stores, golf courses, on landscaping crews, sodding crews, meat distribution warehouse, carpentry, concrete, log home construction, massage therapy, grounds crew, lifeguard, swimming instructor, gymnastics spotter/coach, and dabbled in self employment for a bit with a lawn care business. He didn't care for it because he was the only contractor who encouraged his clients NOT to mow their grass.

Jim has a biology degree from Bemidji State University, is a certified massage therapist, loves the outdoors and the critters that inhabit them.

In his spare time he likes to ride human powered vehicles, play hockey, golf, archery, hunt and fish.
